Group The La-Z-Boy Contract Furniture Group was created in 1971, largely as an entity to market its reclining office chair. The success of that chair enabled development of multi-functional office chair lines. Recently the division has grown dramatically with a broad range of product offerings. These now include 18 office seating series which have task, operational and executive applications. The office seating line feature a variety of balanced, sophisticated styling ranging from traditional to transitional to contemporary. Each product offers optimal function and quality craftsmanship at highly competitive prices. These product lines are broad in nature and cover both small and large office environment applications as well as home office settings. The hospitality line features a broad range of product that is often utilized in a variety of public areas and administrative offices. The Contract Furniture Group is well positioned in the office furniture industry with their channels of distribution. In light of corporate downsizing, the emphasis for manufacturers is to have a strong retail distribution network in which customers who desire small office environment applications and home office settings have an outlet to purchase furniture. With this in mind, the Business Furniture Gallery concept was introduced in 1991. This idea was drawn from the companies many years of experience in designing and promoting residential furniture Showcase Shoppes and Galleries. This program allows the dealer to emphasize the powerful brand name of La-Z-Boy and take advantage of a plethora of products, programs and tools while allowing the dealer to fortify their existing business. Today there are 60 Business Furniture Galleries scattered throughout the United States and Canada. In addition there are approximately 1,350 independent retail distribution outlets located in North America. |
